Our Engagement Sessions

When Dylan and I got engaged, it was supposed to be a family shoot at a winery in north Georgia, Kaya Vineyards. My aunt, La Te Da Photography took these photos of our family and Dylan got down on one knee in the middle of it and surprised me. Here are a few photos from our engagement day. I love these so much because it was the most special, perfect day ever.

For our engagement photos, I wanted photos in different locations and I wanted them all different styles. We took photos in the mountains of Tennessee and pictures on the beach in Jacksonville, NC. I love photos so much. I love to look back on them and reminisce. That’s why we take so many. One day we will look back and remember what was happening at that time, what was most important, but we will at least have a memory of that time.

My aunt is a photographer in Tennessee, so we went up there and took photos in her yard and they turned out GORGEOUS. Her yard has an amazing view of mountains close by and they live on a river. If you’re ever in the Knoxville, TN area, her business is La Te Da Photography and she does an amazing job! I told her I wanted a dark and moody, but romantic style to these pictures. She went above and beyond! These are just a few of my favorite photos taken that day.

One of my best friends was living close to a military base close to the beach in NC since her husband is a marine, so we decided to take photos here and also spend a weekend with our friends! We found Maddie Shortt Photography and she completely delivered once she sent us our edited photos back. We love these pictures! I had always wanted photos on the beach with my husband, but I wanted these to be romantic since we had just gotten engaged. This particular beach was on base, so you have to have access to it, but since our friend is a marine we got in. Here are a few of my favorites from this session.

You can find the blog post of our 1st year anniversary photos here.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see you around here soon.
